  1. OS X on Acer 532h Atom I have a Acer Aspire One 532h, it has a Aton n450 processor, I've been trying to install OS X on it for the past week and I've faced many issues so far. My install has to be via USB, and I don't have a Mac or hackintosh right now. Using Niresh Mountain Lion 10.8.5 DMG file I can easily put the install on a USB drive, however it has Clover, no boot flag or config makes it boot. The laptop just reboots immediately after I hit enter. I tried downloading the 10.8.2 iso, but i'ts a ISO and the guide to put it on USB with Windows doesn't work, so I can't move on. I also want to know if Niresh's 10.8.5 ISO contains a different bootloader from the DMG and the kernel support for atom processors.

  9. Hello, nice to meet you all. Today i'll be giving you an interesting news about Mountain Lion 10.8.5 which suits perfectly with ASUS A43SJ, and i would recommend you this laptop as a hackintosh laptop. Why? Well, i used Niresh distro's since Lion 10.7.3 and all of them works flawlessly. Okay, let's get started ! Here's the screenshot of my machine specs : Here's the desktop view, which works flawlessly ( The Battery, Wi-fi, Disk Drive, etc ) and the iCloud & iMessages are also work like shit ( sorry, i'm so happy for it since epic failures and issues on 10.8.2 LOL ) Alright. So, how to reach this paradise of Mountain Lion 10.8.5 with less issues during the first install ( this is my very first install and it succeeded directly ) ?. 1. Download Mountain Lion 10.8.5 ( ISO version ) from Niresh 2. Make sure you download it properly and finished in the same amount of the size ( if it's 4,32 GB, it must be finish in 4,32 GB ). Why? well sometimes error occurs from this tiny mistake 3. Burn it to a disc. ( mine was DVD-RW ) and burn it using IMGBURN by the speed of 8x ( make it solid ) ATTENTION : When i finished burning the iso, it says to close the disc tray and it says ERROR when validating the iso. Don't panicked yourself, just eject it and make sure you have BACKUP THE ENTIRE DATA and DON'T REGRET ANY LOSING FILES 4. Boot up to your BIOS to change your default BIOS from IDE to AHCI mode !. 5. Restart 6. Normal boot and select the Niresh Mountain Lion 10.8.5 disc, then type -v ( verbose mode ) and enter 7. Take some times to load dozens of white texts, make sure you still heard your disc circling sound, if it's stop and you feel stuck for about 10 - 15 minutes by the white texts, RESTART YOUR LAPTOP. But then if you keep finding yourself with the error, RE-BURN YOUR MOUNTAIN LION.iso WITH ANOTHER DVD DISC, but if the problems keep appear, YOU DOWNLOAD THE FILE UN-PROPERLY. So, don't get to panic 'cause i serve you the other reasons and options. 8. Mountain Lion language selection appears ( i choose English ) 9. In the next installation window, you'll see an active taskbar on the top of your screen, choose UTILITIES and click on the DISK UTILITY selections. 10. PARTITION your main or test-drive ( test-drive was meant for them who still concern about the installation success rate on your laptop, if you do this, don't use the main drive !!! ) to some amount of partitions ( i picked 2 PARTITIONS, FOR THE MAIN DRIVE AND DATABASE ) then change the type to MAC OS JOURNALED ( you can even rename your file ). 11. CLICK APPLY and it'll load for some minutes. If it appears to be an error, try the partition again, but if it keeps the same, then restart your laptop to begin from the start. DON'T GET TOO HURRIED, BE PATIENT, THIS IS NOT A THEME, THIS IS A HACKINTOSH 12. close the Disk Utility window and click next to begin the installation 13. You will have to choose the drive for your main installation area. But...WAIT UP! YOU NEED TO CLICK COSTUMIZE IN THE BOTTOM-LEFT CORNER OF THE BOX ! 14. This is when people get crazed because they don't pay attention to what things they should choose. And for this tutorial, this is for Asus A43SJ but if it appears to be success with the other laptops, then it's great. DON'T TICK GRAPHICS ENABLER, SINCE NVIDIA GT520M was FULLY SUPPORTED ! DON'T TICK THE TRIM ENABLER FOR SSD, SINCE OUR DRIVE WASN'T SSD ! For the rest, leave it be ! don't try to change 'em if you don't know how it works ! 15. Installation process begins ! it takes 20 minutes or so. 16. After finishing the installation, reboot your system and CHOOSE THE DRIVE WHICH YOU HAVE RENAME IT AS THE MAIN DRIVE FOR MOUNTAIN LION INSTALLATION. DON'T CHOOSE THE DISK NAME ANYMORE ! 17. Type -x to enter the Safe Boot mode 18. Let the notifications that told you 'repairing, building caches or so' works ! don't restart your system untill they said 'YOUR HACKINTOSH IS FULLY OPTIMIZED'. 19. While waiting them, you can install several kexts that i upload on this link ( and also for some DSDT and SSDT too ! ) KEXT 1 : http://www28.zippyshare.com/v/79518364/file.html KEXT 2 : http://www28.zippyshare.com/v/19147354/file.html IT'S WORKING FOR 10.8.5 ! Description of the file Kext 1 : Kexts that i put into a single folder, you'll need to install all of them by using KEXT UTILITY. Where can i get the Kext Utility?. It's automatically installed on the Mountain Lion 10.8.5 Kext 2 : Kexts that contains SSDT, DSDT, 'Extra' folder customization and some other kexts that need to be installed such as Wi-Fi, sound, etc. 20. Restart your hackintosh after installing the kexts. WELCOME TO THE PARADISE YOU'VE FINALLY MADE IT ! HAPPY HACKINTOSHING ! P/S : 1. If your Wi-Fi cannot connected even you've installed the kexts. Here's what you have to do ( i got frustated but i tricked them by using multibeast and it works like hell yo ~ ) 1. Download Multibeast from Tonymacx86 Wait, i don't have any internet connection !. Well think smart by using the other laptops or a tablet, then send it to your laptops and install as usual. 2. Choose the network driver and select this one : 3. There will appear a installer window. Just install it as normally 4. Restart 5. Still not working? Good ! Yeah, it won't work ! it won't work !. LOL don't panic, now you go to SLE ( System Library Extensions ) and delete the REALTEK RTL81XXX kexts. Then, you restart your system and GO TO SYSTEM PREFERENCE - NETWORK - TURN ON WIFI - CHOOSE YOUR NETWORK AND INSERT THE PASSWORD IF IT'S NEEDED. Your Wi-Fi issue saved ! What else? nothing, it all works flawlessly. Source : 15 times failures in installing 10.7.3 , 8 times failures in installing 10.8.2 , EPIC SUCCEED in installing 10.8.5 Experience is the best teacher, indeed ! If you wanna ask, just post to my Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/ddopha?ref=tn_tnmn Mail me : cordovasmart@gmail.com Hope it works, i'll be testing the Maverick 10.9 pretty soon !
  10. Mountain Lion 10.8.5 on VirtualBox Hello folks I'm new to Hackintosh, and maybe someone could help me. I'm trying to install Mountain Lion 10.8.5 (Niresh's release) as a virtual machine on Oracle VirtualBox (version: VirtualBox-5.0.20-106931-Win). The OS on my host machine is WIndows 8.1 x64. The specs of my machine (I made two screenshots, as my machine is a laptop with dual graphics, in one you can seel the Intel HD graphics card, in the other one the AMD Radeon): The specs of the virtual machine are as follows: No matter what I do, it doesn't even finish booting, it always hangs at the following message: I googled as much as possible, as far as I found out, FakeSMC is responsible for tricking MacOSX into believing it is being installed on a MAC, right? How can that even be that it finds a physical SMC when my computer is definitely not an Apple and on top of that I don't even bott into my physical PC but into a virtual machine? What I've tried so far: - disabling my AMD graphics card in device manager (shouldn't be an issue anyway since VirtualBox fakes another graphics card anyway, but who knows...) - tried booting in safe mode as per your site "Debugging your Hackintosh" - tried both ncpi=0x3000 / ncpi=0x2000 boot flags - tried GraphicsEnabler=Yes / No (both options) - tried PCIRootUID=1/ PCIRootUID=0 What else could I try? Treid googling of course, but didn't found a solution to my specific problem, neither on the net in general nor on your page specifically. Any help is greatly appreciated, and I thank everyone who takes the time to read my post. bm

(I have some image and a video attached below) After install it never booted, not even once, tried a lot of things but It said that install was successful. 22. Hey guys! I've been around the hackintosh topic for a while now. I've decided to build a new gaming computer and now I want a Mac OS on it as well so I tried installing Niresh Maverics. The first time I tried installing was on my 16GB USB flash drive. The computer was able to get into the installation screen and the installation began but never really ended considering there was a loop between 22min and 17min. So then, I tried burning the ISO file to the CD. Sincle I only owned a single-layer CD of 4,7GB, I decided to burn Mountain Lion. Again, everything went smoothly until it didn't fail at the last minute of installation. Then, since my friend encountered a problem installing Windows with my 16GB USB flash drive, I used another 8GB flash drive to get the Mavericks .dmg file on it. This time, literally no luck. It wasn't even been able to boot into the installation. I've tried numerous boot flags including amdfx -v -x -f GraphicsEnabler=No/Yes UseKernelCache=No and many other, but still "system uptime in nanoseconds" problem was there. I actually got Windows 8.1 already installed and I wouldn't want to go through the installation again nor to lose my files. So I actually partitioned my 1TB Hard Drive with EaseUS software to one partition where my Windows OS is, one which is system reserved and one which I leave unformatted and then in the Niresh installation, I format it to Mac OS partition format. My specs: Processor - AMD FX-6300 3,5GHz, Black Edition Graphics Card - MSI nVidia GeForce 750 Ti TF 2GB OC RAM - 8GB Kingston Hyperx Beast CL10 1600Mhz Motherboard - Gigabyte GA 970A DS3P with UEFI Dual Bios Thank you all in advance, please leave a response.
  23. Hello! I have an "Packard Bell Easynote TE69HW" based on Intel. I've recently downloaded the USB Version of OS X 10.8.5 (Niresh). And whenever i try to boot the Installer it freezes on the Apple Logo! I've waited for it to come but nothing happened. When i try to boot the installer with some flags, i only get this "Kernel Panic" that read lots of files then performs this "reboot loop". Please Help me! If someone reply i would be really thankful! Regards /TechPlanet
  24. ***** If you are having problems after installation, this has a lot of information: https://www.hackintoshshop.com/1748/debugging-hackintosh/ ***** UPDATE QUESTION: when I install from DVD it takes about 20 minutes and then the screen goes grey and the computer restarts. Is this the way it should be? Hi. I have installed Niresh Mountain Lion 10.8.5 on a separate hard drive in an existing Win 7 computer. To be clear, I have one drive for win7, one for storage and now one for OSX. (I refer to Niresh Mountain Lion 10.8.5 as OSX here) I have NOT installed a correct bootloader. I installed OSX on the separate harddrive connected via SATA. I can choose to boot directly from this drive through my UEFI BIOS interface. Or to use boot flags I use the DVD to choose the boot from the hard disk. OSX begins to boot but hangs.Note that I am happy with leaving the boot situation alone. When i want to have a go with OSX I can choose boot from the hard disk easily. I do not have access to the camera at the moment. I have tried the following: 1) reinstalled using burned DVD of Niresh iso. 2) the various "flags": -x -v -GraphicsEnabler = No 3)Setting my BIOS settings to UEFI defaults then disabling anything "fancy" eg. - VT-d technology under the northbridge options. Here is the manual for my motherboard: ftp://europe.asrock.com/manual/H67DE3.PDF the following errors occur during the boot: 1)device hubdrive @0x1d100000 overcurrent condition port will be disabled (occurs several times) 2) OSX hangs upon reaching the following line as shown by -x-v boot (lines leading up to this are below in quotes); Bluetooth -yaddayaddayadda-Start completed "SMC::smcInitHelper ERROR:MMIO regMap == NUll - fall back to old SMC mode ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start - wait for Service (resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUManagement) timed out DMOS has arrived [iOBluetoothHCIController][start] -- completed" **Update** Following advice from https://www.maconpc.com/apple/articles/troubleshooting/guide-most-common-problems-with-hackintosh-r10/ I have disabled Vt-d but my monitor is VGA only. So I think I need to install VGA support for HD3000. From here maybe; https://www.maconpc.com/topic/191-updated-guide-tips-for-enabling-vga-in-intel-hd3000-gpu/ However, I can't figure out how to do this. ** I am trying to edit the kext's but when booting with -s typing into command line keeps being interrupted by USB warning about "device hubdrive @0x1d100000 overcurrent condition". So I am parking this project. Will probably try again when I have access to a Mac and not use distro. I have tried the AppleIntelCPU* removal via terminal, no impact I have tried replacing the FakeSMC via terminal, no impact. I have tried reinstalling with different options in customize, but none had an impact. I tried changing NullCpu.. to Disabler, and others, but no effect.
