  1. Hello @nartcan, sorry for the late answer. I've been very busy the last couple of weeks. I've upgraded my Radeon HD4870 and replaced it with a R9 270X card. I solved the 3D acceleration problems by reinstalling my computer. When it comes to installing hackintosh it's usually (in my experience) the kernel that is causing problems. But if you're certain that your graphics is causing problems I would recommend checking if you need GraphicsEnabler or not. Usually HD cards like mine (also R-Series) does. If you want help I will need you to be more specific and include things like: Bootflags, kernel, specs on your PC, errors et.c. A good tip is including your computer specifications in your signature like i have.
  2. Hello, this isn't an Hackintosh problem really but a while ago I got this weird problem and I've had a lot to do in school so I haven't had the time to fix it. But to describe my error: I don't get any sound output but input works just fine. And the volume controller in the top bar is gray like this: I've seen more people had this problem with a real mac also, but never found any good solution other than resetting PRAM. Any help is appriciated, thank you.
  3. Have you tried installing GraphicsEnabler that is included with the distro? It works for both HD4870 and R9 270X (the cards I've been running on OS X) So I really can't see why it wouldn't work.
  4. Including your hardware is very important. Please reply or add them to your signature. Brands and specific model nr. Is also important.

    XFX R9 270X

XFX R9 270X works great with Mavericks and GraphicsEnabler=Yes! All 270X cards SHOULD work as well, however I cannot confirm this at this moment. There might be something different with MSI or Sapphire et.c. That will remove compatibility with Hackintosh. 6. In my experience with boot0 you haven't got any boot loader installed on your mavericks. Boot up your USB stick and when you see the menu it comes with, select Mavericks HDD instead of the installer image. Use any boot flags needed to successful boot. When in OS X. Download and install this: https://www.maconpc.com/files/file/968-chameleon-for-macos-sierra-chameleon-hackintosh-sierra/
  7. So while waiting for my new system (in my signature) to arrive I tough I'd share my current working AMD Hackintosh machine. Specs: [*]AMD FX-8150 CPU [*]ATI RADEON HD4870 1GB GPU [*]8GB Corsair 1600Mhz (Underclocked to 1333) RAM [*]A random 160GB Samsung Harddrive for OS X. [*]This USB sound card (instead of ALC887) - http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-3D-Virtual-7-1-Channel-Audio-Sound-Card-Adapter-for-PC-Laptop-WIN-7-MAC-/370900669132?pt=US_Sound_Card_External&hash=item565b6712cc This works great thanks to this kernel: https://www.maconpc.com/files/file/94-amd-10910911092-kernel-with-sse3-and-opemu/ I boot my installation and my system with: GraphicsEnabler=Yes -v I don't have to specify any kernel since I replaced the mach_kernel (default). You can also see that 3D acceleration et.c. is working in this screenshot: Oh and btw! I'm on 10.9.0 now due to a hard drive failure. I will update when i feel like it (which is probably never)
  8. This works great on my AMD FX-8150! Highly recommend it! 5* Yes.
  9. http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-0-3D-Virtual-7-1-Channel-Audio-Sound-Card-Adapter-for-PC-Laptop-WIN-7-MAC-/370900669132?pt=US_Sound_Card_External&hash=item565b6712cc The price and sound quality of this product is just amazing! Free shipping worldwide also. Works out of the box with OS X so no needed drivers for sound anymore. This one replaced my ALC887 since I couldn't get it working properly (bad quality, stuttering)
  10. Try: ahcidisk=1, cpus=1, npci=0x2000 Quicktip: You cannot combine flags like -v & -x like this: -vx as you stated earlier.
  11. Just a quick tip: Use USB instead of DVD. You will fail numerous times with mackintosh.. And it'll get expensive getting a new DVD each time. Also, much more practical to have an USB if you need to do changes to it after you've restored the image. (Install kexts or add another kernel et.c.) Anyways, good luck! This is a great place to be at, everyone are much nicer here than Insanelymac and your language isn't as much important. Also there's some really talented people here.
  12. I feel so incredibly stupid but after I've been stuck with this error for 3 days, I found the solution. Try changing DVI ports if you have two on your GPU. Now everything is working.
  13. try booting with: "amd -v" (without " marks ofc)
