About This File

Installing macOS on PC is made easy with Niresh Mojave. This is a special release, it focuses on Vanilla. It has no third-party software. You are free to customize your mac os experience your way.

Mojave Requirements.

  • A Desktop Computer or Laptop with Intel Processor.
  • A Mother Board with UEFI supported BIOS.
  • Mojave requires a processor with the SSE4.2 instruction set, SSE 4.1 may work but some Applications, Functions, Kexts & Graphics Accelerations may not work.
  • macOS Mojave requires a Metal-Compatible graphics card.
  • Separate SSD or Separate Hard-disk with at least 20GB free-space, an SSD is recommended for APFS file system.

Installation Guide:

  •   Read Step by Step Installation Instruction from here

Features & Changes:

  • Niresh Mojave is completely vanilla.
  • Niresh Mojave does not have any third-party applications or software.
  • Only support UEFI compatible computers. (macOS Mojave dropped support for old hardware, it is still possible to install Mojave on PC with third-party tools but it is not worth the effort).
  • Clover UEFI is used as default macOS bootloader.
  • Added Support for Apple File System (APFS), It is also possible to Install macOS Mojave without converting to APFS, still, you can use Mac OS X Extended File System.
  • Removed Post-Installation Optimizations, they are not necessary now.
  • Removed ATA/PATA Support, These are completely unnecessary in modern computers with UEFI BIOS.
  • Extensions are installed to /Library/Extensions instead of /System/Library/Extensions as a way to preserve vanilla methods, which also enables modifications of extensions without disabling System Integrity Protection in macOS.
  • Cleaned up Mojave Installer Customize Section, removed old & unnecessary kexts, tools.
  • Default desktop background image is left untouched.
  • Safari Bookmarks are left untouched.
  • No Desktop icons are created.
  • Added support for Installing Lilu kext.
  • Lilu Plugins are included as an option.
  • Added support for Installing FakePCIID kext.
  • FakePCIID Plugins are included as an option.
  • USB XHCI Patches are applied but may need patch upgrade upon OS upgrade.
  • AppleALC Audio Kext is added as an option.
  • Partial Intel Coffe-lake Graphics Support.
  • Voodoo TrackPad/PS2 Kexts were updated to the latest version.
  • ACPIBatteryManager.kext has been updated to the latest version.
  • VoodooTSCSync kext has been updated with rehabman version which does not need to patch Info.plist, It detects CPU cores, threads automatically.
  • Full USB 2.0 and 3.0 support on 7/8/9 Series motherboards.
  • AptioMemoryFix.efi is used for clover-memory fix which is stable than OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi, OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi or OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.
  • NVRAM variables are preserved upon reboot or shutdown.
  • Whatevergreen kext is added as an option.

Notes:

  • Niresh Mojave can be installed with a Non-Metal-Compatible graphics card, but a Metal-Compatible graphics card is required for full graphics acceleration.
  • Do not try to use this installer on a real mac.
  • Niresh Mojave does not support Legacy BIOS.
  • Third-Party Apps are no longer available in Niresh's Distros, Those Applications and download links may be available from Applications.
  • Niresh's Distros have always been free of virus, trojans & malware since the first release, If you have doubt check packages with Pacifist, I do not care about conspiracies about distros on the Internet.

Porting DMG to USB:
In Mac use Restore Mojave Package to Port DMG Image into USB Drive / Flash Drive.
In Windows use TransMac software to Port DMG Image into USB Drive / Flash Drive.

Have fully working on Lenovo T430 with all but card reader working, use mini usb dongle for wifi.

Bios is also patched so can change mini wifi card when find correct one.

Only problem is sometimes the whole system freezes and have to power off to restart.

When the system hangs the HDD light stays on still troubleshooting issue but does not happen that often.

Set as MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012)

i5 3220M

12GB Ram

Intel HD 4000 graphics (in about mac GPU ram is 2048mb)

Crucial 120gb SSD

Samsung 240GB SSD

May fix issue when reinstall with APFS as it was installed without converting

First of all a big thank you for creating the Mojave Vanilla distro. I have tried various Distros in the past on different machines but could not get any running Hackintosh.

However, this installation was smooth and fast, installed on the first attempt on my new laptop HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0058wm. Specs are I5-8300H - 16GB ram - Nvidia 1050 / 4GB graphics.

Everything works except WIFI, Audio and Nvidia Graphics. Also there are no post installation tools where I can install drivers manually. Can you please help me with this? Your help will be highly appreciated.  Many thanks in advance.

Worked as advertised. Was able to download the image no problem and got it over to usb and installed on my Haswell MSI laptop without issues except for no audio. Will figure that out.

As for no link to download the Mojave... Look at the red bar right above the reviews where it says "Download Niresh Mojave" or link here:

You have to be sure to download the Restore Mojave image also in order to put it on usb:

Merely click the Accept and Download and wait the 45 seconds or post it on Facebook, etc to stop the 45 second wait.

Image worked truly with my MSI Z77A-GD65, i3-3220 processor with GTX 680 graphics. Graphics, sound, ethernet,  usb 2.0 and 3.0 everything worked fine.

But, I can not manage to successfully update to the latest Mojave 10.14.4 version. The update file of 10.14.4 warned me about, the current partition is Mac OS Extended (Journaled) which is not compatible for update. It ordered me to partition with APFS file system. I have re-installed all together, but this time update can not end with success!

Tried Hackintosh after a gap of 3 years.

Mine was a Dell 3542 and everything works just fine except problem with the audio, and used TPlink-TL823N as external Wi-Fi adapter.

( I never cared about NVIDIA, if there is a patch i would be glad )

Hi there ! First thank you for this release 👍 the OS installed well, devices are recognized. But i'm facing graphic issues, apps are laggy. They do work I mean, but it is slow all the time with some glitches. That must because Nvidia released no web drivers drivers for Mojave at that time. That's from what i've read on several topics on the web. And this is a major issue I hope there will be a fix of some sort very soon.

My config:

GIGABYTE GA-Z270P-D3

Intel Core i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20 GHz

RAM 16 Go - Ballistix Elite 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2666 UDIMM

GeForce GTX 1060 - 3 Go

HDD Seagate BarraCuda, 1 To

KFA2 Gamer SSD L, 240 Go, SATA III

Response from the author:

Yes, nVidia mojave drivers has not been released sofar, only options are to wait or use AMD Graphics cards.

Hi there! First of all I would like to say thank you for this I'm actually a newbie on Hackintosh world. I used real Mac PC's before and this time I want to explore. I try use my Lenovo x240 laptop, my set up was Intel core i5 3rd gen, 8gb ram and 500gb HDD the rest is mobo integrated (aside from wifi adapter). It works pretty fine except with my wifi, well that's my primary concern here. I also experience this problem, when the laptop goes to sleep it'll not turn on even I press the bloody power button many times, it didn't wakes up. And also, My eyes are burning now because I can't even adjust the brightness of my screen. And when I lock my screen  for few minutes when I get back, it only show a black or blank screen, tried to press anything on the keyboard, move the mouse and nothing happens, so my last resort is to press the power button to shut it down.

Seeking for your response with this, I really need help on how to fix this issues.

Thank you in advance
